Jaql is a new query language being developed for JSON data. This site is still under construction, but you can read about and try Jaql using the following links.

Release 0.2: Overview, gzipped tar file
Jaql's current release includes:

Easier ways to extend functions
Easier ways to extend readers/writers
Enhanced work on query rewrites, including the use of Map/Reduce's combiners (local aggregation).
